How to Learn German Fast: About Me! :)

Hello!! I am Shawn. I just realised that I have an opportunity to put my link up on the German language society blog, and so I am going to do that, since after all, I have a blog on how to learn German fast.

First up, I am a student at the National University of Singapore and have been in the German society/ German club for about three years already. I have been doing the matriculation fair for the German society since 2007. I am the General Secretary for 08/09, and love what I am doing, for instance, writing about myself, writing minutes for the society, writing on my blog and writing for other blogs and materials, doing the matriculation fair, and running the club administration. Doing this CCA has been a great joy as well as an interesting challenge, both professionally and in terms of leisure.

How did I get into blogging, and in particular, writing a German language learning blog on how to learn German? Well, it all started a long time ago when my then ex-girlfriend taught me how to use Google adsense and how to do html codes and stuff like that. I picked up professional blogging, right there and then, and life has never been the same since. I hope to make money from writing, but then again, life has never been the way we want it, although I do indeed want life to be better.

I am quite optimistic in that I have absolutely no doubt that life will get better and that my German language site will take off, and get more and more visitors, along with all the other interesting sites on which I write many interesting topics.

How did I get into learning German and how about something on my language learning experiences? Here, I let my old posts do the talking for me:

What on earth is this site about? I basically teach a system of learning German, and summarise methods and ideas on how to learn a language in general, and German in particular. In other words, this was originally intended to be a site that teaches people how to learn languages. And German was the main focus, without a shadow of doubt.

However later on I got many suggestions and comments that I should expand my franchise, and expand on my writing and all that kind of thing, so instead of focusing (to use business terms) on my core business of teaching people how to learn, I now actually take on the role of teaching German. And I have quite some experience in teaching... but just not that much experience in teaching German. I am a teacher by training. I have taught English and History, and my main teaching subject is Economics.
